I know it's been a while but I had posted fit pics and sizing info for the Eidos field coat - and I think so did unbelragazzo. The field coat is a piece of outerwear and fits nicely over a same-sized Eidos jacket. I.e. if you wear an Eidos 50R jacket, the field coat in 50R will work well on top. It will obviously be roomier if you only wear it on top of a shirt. If you want a trimmer coat and don't need layering room, you could size down 1.

Concur with Greg here. I did just this. Eidos suit coat under Eidos field jacket. I think my feedback regarding sizing mostly applies to shorter guys (i.e., < 5'10).

It really depends on one's body shape. I have broad-ish shoulders so sizing down isn't an option, but I can wear my field jacket with just a shirt underneath. (Though a light sweater is better b/c it fills the body.)

YMMV, as usual.

I was wearing my Monitaly raglan jacket yesterday when walking the Liberty Fairs, Project and Mrket shows - it was surreal how many people commented on how much they liked the jacket.

What color were you wearing? It is a gorgeous jacket. Wish I still lived somewhere cold. It's been shorts weather in SF.

But I should be able to wear these just about year round:

Got the gray scarf last year and have really enjoyed it. The natural is a good color too. Thanks to you and Kyle for answering my qs about it.

Btw Greg, I meant to respond to this earlier, but if it's not too late for next season's suggestions, I think it'd be cool if you carried some French brands. Weston would be a good, but expensive, replacement for AS. Maybe Martegani. Francos used to carry them and they had some really nice stuff imo, and they use Blake Rapid, which someone suggested earlier. Don't know who if anyone carries them now.

For casual stuff, I wish I could remember the name, but there's a store in Milan that sells traditional country wear from Tuscany. Beautiful stuff, reasonably priced. Lots of heavy linen and canvas, suede, waxed cotton. I think they're a few doors down from the Valextra outlet.

This question was asked a few pages back, but must have been missed.

Anyways, I was hoping someone with the Mackintosh Alva coat could give some advice re sizing. Curious as to whether people sized up/down or took their regular size. I'm concerned about the shoulder measurements which seem wuite narrow. I'm an Eidos 54 and Formosa 52 athletic. Broad shoulders, large drop. Any sizing suggestions?

I've read online that Buttero sneakers run large. Many say one full size large and to size down one size for a snug fit...I wear 11.5 U.S. in sneakers and wondered if a size 43 would be way too small for me as it seems like a 44.5 Euro would normally correspond to an 11.5....Down one size is a 43.5 if correct but 1/2 sizes are not offered........... Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I'm a US 10.5 and wear a 43.

I have that top one, olive mogul. I think it's more olive irl (looks forest green on my screen in that pic).

It's a really nice fall square and well worth the splurge earlier in the season (though on sale at NMWA, no reason not to get it now). The brown is nice too. Both great choices emptym

I didn't expect to like my Butteros without their leather laces, but I switched up one of the pairs this morning for an experiment. I may actually like them even better this way:

Ok, how are you knuckleheads taking the buttero in 43? I'm size 11 US and both pairs of butteros I have are size 44. They fit me well out of the box so there was no break in period. I ask because there is a pair of canvas taninos in size 43 that may work.

44 were alright for me, but a little loose. 43 will be uncomforatble until they break in, but once they do, you'll love them.
