Saw the Paul Smith Ike Hiking Boots posted on Selectism today, and I thought they were pretty cool.

Ike is a Paul Smith Mainline men's premium outdoor hiking ankle boot.

They are made from Fiesta leather upper that has been tumbled in mud and stones for a special process. This treatment gives the leather that elusive pre-worn look and makes the leather softer without reducing its waterproof qualities and durability.

The rubber soles have chunky, deep grooves that help to provide fiction and avoid slipping on surfaces. This unit is an original design taken from the winter 1948 Olympic Games in St Moritz.

They are fastened by a combination of metal d-rings and hooks with contrast laces that are made from braided nylon. The tongues are embossed with Paul Smith signature logo and internally it is fully lined in beige with a floral printed trim. Spare laces and stow bag are included.

Yes, generally not so thrilling. Looks like they will have some quality things that will have stratospheric retail prices, Kiton, Brioni, etc. I might roll in there for the LOLs at some point but don't foresee walking out with anything.

They will do a nice business selling bags and shoes to Eastside uber-rich women.

Is PS doing anything in a dark blue shoe? A Nash in that color would kill.

NMs website stopped carrying PS about a year ago, it must not be selling well from the website but their stores usually carry several shoes, clothes and even suits. I have noticed PS become much more popular in the last year though, Bloomingdales has broaden the collection they carry and now their website sells them as well.

That might be a good thing for my wallet considering they're only a couple miles away.

They've been working OT to finish that place. Our weekend bike ride takes us right past it and there've even been working on it Saturday and Sunday mornings for the last several weeks. Traffic is going to be a complete clusterfuck once the whole complex opens. It's bad enough there as it is.
