Hell, I'd toss half of my Isaia/RLBL/Kiton etc suit pants out and replace them with these if they had an exact matching pair.

Once again, I wouldn't recommend Mabitex for guys without athletic figures. It's like wearing RLBL where if you don't have that 7" inch drop and strong shoulders, you'll just look stupid.

Haha sounds like you need to hit the gym. The weights specifically. Athletic figure? Athletic figure means muscular, not skinny.

I would disagree and say that these pants are not for athletic guys, but skinny guys. (not hating, in fact I wish I could fit in them)

That height/weight ratio is about right. Maybe 3-5 lbs off max. Ichiro is 5'9, 160 lbs, and I am pretty sure he's more athletic than everyone on this forum. http://www.baseball-almanac.com/play...hp?p=suzukic01 That being said. I am a slim guy and these Mabitex pants fit slimmer than anything else I own. I don't think it would work well with average (American standard) guys. They are probably right at the limit of how slim I can wear pants.

Touche! I guess I have a different opinion of what "athletic cut" is. I must say though, its a nice change from the huge billowy clothes that most manufacturers make and that most people wear

Edit: My background - When i weighed in at 250lbs I ran a 4.74 40 yard dash, squatted over 500, and benched around 400. It was/is impossible to find a pair of pants to fit me. If the waist fits, the thighs are amazingly tight, if the thighs fit, the waist is huge. No shirts fit me right, I had a huge chest and arms but little waist = tent like shirts. Needless to say, Mabitex would never work for me. I based my "athletic cut" off my own experience. So take what I say with a grain of salt

Him? 160lbs wearing his shoes and bat?

You've got fairly low standards. That guy is slim not athletic. No natural V. Shoulders barely wider then his chest. Thighs aren't much bigger then his ankles and the ankles aren't exactly big either.

I think there's "American standards", and then there's "World standards". American athletes are bigger and I am guessing you would put Albert Pujols in that athletic category. To the rest of the world, the guy's huge. Rest of the world considers professional soccer players' build to be the athletic standard.

Athleticism is easily measured by taking the average of bicep and quadriceps circumference. For example, these two gentleman are athletic, and as a bonus, they're wearing finely tailored clothing for their physique.

I just got my first pair of Mabitex and I think they're perfect, the fit is much better than any of my other dress pants...although, I don't really have any other pairs of quality dress pants, so I don't have much else to compare against.

I'm tall and slim (6'4" 185 lbs), but I also have an athletic build (42" chest, 33" waist). Fortunately, due to my height, my legs are still slim enough to squeeze into this pair of pants very comfortably. I think it's unfair to say you need to be a skinny hipster, or you need to be athletic and not a *****, etc. to fit into a pair of Mabitex. Everyone's body is different....some people can wear these and some people can't. And from the ones that can wear them, most seem to love them. Mine are getting hemmed right now, and I'm excited to pick them up so I can actually wear them!

I do have one question tho, I'm new to Mabitex but I have noticed that many people said these pants used to be made in Italy. However, from looking online and thru the B&S forums here, it seems like most of the pants being sold now are made in Romania. Can anyone comment on Mabitex made in Italy vs. Mabitex made in Romania? Are there any noticeable differences in quality from the Italian to Romanian pants?

There's also the whole perception and change of standards thing over time. The bar has been put so far up now days causing quite a bit of self body image anxiety problems with people now.

Take a look at action figures and such: their bodies get more and more bulky throughout the years (one particular example I can remember is that of Luke Skywalker).

I think the problem is that so many people are out of shape and fat that 'athletic' is used to describe anyone who is post pubescent and not fat.

are both tremendous athletes, and have the 'correct' body for their sport. But I imagine they need to get their pants cut a little differently.

My new Mabitex cotton pants broke in the crotch today when I tried to get myself in the back seat of a BMW 1 series.

Still love the fit though so I bought my second pair (from NachoBroadway) today, this time in wool.

I tried Mabitex and the fit was too tight for me. The fabrics and patterns were nice, though.
