What'd everyone think of the Game of Thrones premiere? Felt HBO spent too much time catching people up but looks like it will be another solid season

I never really watch clay-mation, or CGI cartoon movies but my girlfriend made me watch a movie called Mary and Max. It was really good, and very dark. I recommend it.

Mary and Max was REALLY good, but my fiance has Aspergers so maybe I'm biased.

Anyway, Rise of the Planet of the Apes....HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, especially if you are a fan of the original! I was really iffy on it at first, still having a bad taste in my mouth from that Burton stinkbomb, but this one was excellent!

I even noticed the homages to the original, like at the end when the cops are beating the apes with batons from horseback trying to get them to run into the line of fire on the bridge, choreographed exactly like the scene at the beginning of the original when the apes were hunting humans.

I appreciate little **** like that.

Actually, much of the movie mirrored the original, but with apes in the cages rather than Heston. Will watch again, loved it.

I think most people have aspergers and aren't diagnosed. I think you probably have it too.

Believe it nor not, in 'real life', I'm not quite like I am here on SF. Way too introverted and quiet to have Aspergers. Also I'm not smart enough, heh.

Saw "Another Earth" last night.
Quasi-existential, sci-fi, morality play. In other words it was pretty depressing and bit boring. But still not bad...

I thought it was ok. Worth the time.

watching MI:4.. must say it's a good movie.

Ouch, you serious?

Oh, it's harmless good fun. I saw it in the theater and had a blast.

I just can't suspend my disbelief.

Saw the first half of The Hunter with Willem Dafoe today. It's ******* gorgeous. There were several really nice touches that I appreciated. We'll see if the second half delivers.

The Woman in The Fifth.
2011 Brit/France/Polish co-production. A disgraced prof played by Ethan Hawke, fleeing US for Paris to look for his daughter and meeting some dodgy characters, including Kristen Scott Thomas for far too briefly. Not bad at all. ENglish and French without subs (on download)

"My own Private Idaho". Impossible to catch on tv so I ended up buying some time ago. Watched it today and really enjoyed it. River and Keanu give both great performances and it´s so beautifuly shot.
