Let's talk about how we can raise some horses, kill them, and turn their hides into walnut shell cordovan.

We'll have to diverge on this one. I want a "dark" boot, which would dictate a dark welt, dark midsole and tone on tone stitching everywhere. Prefer double leather sole but would go with dainite. Not sure if they'd even make something like that. I guess I want a Guidi or carpe dieme version of a Viberg service boot.

I certainly understand. I had this in mind, but with these build specs:

Service boot on 2030
Smoke grey Kudu
All gunmetal eyelets

I just prefer the juxtaposed colors of the smoke kudu and the natural midsole.

Honestly though, how feasible is it for me to start a farm raising horses purposed for cordovan production? I'm sure the meat is worth something too ;) Does all cordovan come from riding/hobby horses?

The Service Boot in Derby Brown Nut will be available tomorrow at noon on viberg.com. It's plain toe on the 2040 last with a commando sole. Price is $680 (USD). This is a really nice casual brown boot. The leather has a ton of character and will age beautifully. It's a great option for those who don't like the way CXL creases and scratches so easily.
