Just the opposite, man. I'm a big Cohaagen supporter. I always chose to interpret Arnold and the mutants' actions in Total Recall as a Communist plot to interfere with a legitimate businessman's attempt to turn an honest profit.

Really? I looked on Arnold as Ronnie R. and Cohaagen as the Air Traffic Controllers' Union president.

Always cheap out on those solar lights for your backyard path, if you live in the sun belt. $15 sets from Wal-Mart last just as long as the fancy metal ones for $150. Sun just fries things in some areas of the country.

Other things to cheap out on:

Alcohol, after the third glass it all tastes the same.

marital aids, a variety of common household items work just fine in a pinch.

Underwear, after the first day you wear it inside out, then you turn it around!

Agreed. There's hardly anything I advocate going bottom of the barrel on, so that perhaps should have been stated up front.

A few more:

Pets. Who needs some kind of purebred stuck up asshole dog that costs $20,000 when you can go to any Mexican border town and pick up a perfectly serviceable stray for nothing?

Tampons. This is basically just cotton stuffed into a tube, right? DIY.

Canadian merchandise. USA will invade them one day, just be patient.

Dignity. If you are a woman you don't need to pay for anything, if you know what I mean.
