Cross post from Japanese shoes thread: Received my fourth bespoke pair from Yohei Fukuda. An adelaide model he has made for previous bespoke customers which I really loved, and managed to find the perfect brown leather for it, IMO. Fit is really good, and think they look amazing. A bunch of pics (more can be found on my blog):

Thanks! Since my forth pair the fit is really excellent all around, only in adjusting very small things since then. Heel fit has always been excellent with Yohei, but getting it right with no excess space at my inner ball and behind that has been tricky.

With Eiji we reached similar stage already on second pair, which is the quickest “almost perfect fit” pairs I’ve gotten from any maker. Interestingly it’s the heel that he hasn’t really nailed yet, some small things to be done there for my third.

Should be noted that I have quite complicated feet, basically all bespoke makers struggles a lot to get it right, so many things that is easy to mess up with how my feet are shaped.

Looks like Daniel Wegan might have left Gaziano & Girling.

Yes, Daniel left G&G maybe two months ago.

Until now he did keep the cards of his future plans very close to his chest. But I've seen on Instagram that he had the first trunkshow under his own shingle just last weekend in Sweden. I presume more pictures of the event will show up over the next few days.

No idea, whether the new firm "Daniel Wegan - Shoemaker" will be based in Sweden, England or elsewhere.
