So people like bows and artishard (whose hair is clearly full of product) look tryhard and really bad?

I think it's pretty shaky ground you're standing on my dude

I like bows and artishard, so no hate, but yeah, I've been meaning to say that their hair looks way too gelled-up for awhile.

My hair is really, really long at this point, and really thick, so there's just a ton of it. Not sure what to do with it but I don't wanna cut it.

I haven't been here long enough to be familiar with their hair, lol... as a general rule I do think having a ton of product in your hair looks bad... it doesn't look natural. It also depends on the local custom, if everyone has hair full of gel then it would seem normal. I live near Boulder and Denver and it's not usual to see people using a lot of product around here. Kinda like wearing cologne, it's not the norm around here but if you go to the middle east it's customary for people to apply A LOT of fragrance, if someone did that around here it would get a lot of attention, and not the good kind of attention.

But whatever, it's just my opinion, which is worth about $.02 anyway...

KJ, I really like those cords you have for sale, wish the waist was 17" instead of 18"...

my beard is awesome.

hair is.. a different story. i was thinning/receding badly until i started propecia, and now hair is back to normal. but it's fine an curly, which sucks. i also won't use product.

Does propecia really promote hair growth? I spoke with my family doctor last year and was told that it only reduced hair loss. Plus you have to take it everyday for the rest of your life, or until you don't mind losing your hair.

Your hair has always looked great Brad so much that I almost PMed you asking how you styled it like that a few times.

i think its of note to mention that in the last two photos there is no product in my hair. **** that. stop washing your hair so often, it'll naturally become awesome. i condition once a week, wash as needed, usually every other week. i just scrub the **** out of my head in the shower with warm water. i work out everyday, my hair does not smell, nor does it look dirty. on the contrary when i had long hair, and i washed it every other day, it would get filthy rather quickly. meh. it looks a bit shiny/greasy in the latest photo because it wasnt fully dry from shower, otherwise it looks like in the other pic. i cant stand guys who look like theyre obviously wearing product.

also, i didnt think my weight loss was going so well until i looked at this series of pics. gonna pat myself on the back.

Hair looks good in both, but to be honest, I think if you have your beard how it is now with the longer hair it would look pretty awesome :)

Haha, thanks. :embar: Right now it's literally mousse, blow dry bangs and sides while brushing, blow dry top upside down, and some smoothing cream afterwards. This is the simplest I've had it in years haha

Actually Markl - Just seen pics of your hair in WAYWT from different a different angle and it looks very nice indeed! How long does it take to style it like that? Is it easy?

Takes me 3 minutes, hop out the shower, brush it back with a round brush while blow drying till its dry. good to go. if it gets a little sloppy or disheveled during the day, all the better.

Might give that a go!

I've cut down on washing my hair as of this week. I read somewhere that I should just use conditioner every day and shampoo once a week max, so i'm going to give that a go. It will be quite a big change considering I normally shampoo daily. :embar:

i've been cursed with terribly flat hair. my hair is thick but it does nothing. no real part...it just falls flat forward. unless its buzzed really short it makes me look super young.

i get it cut about once a month - sides buzzed with a #2 (I think...) and the top cut pretty short but with the jagged scissors to give it a little texture and blended into the sides. i have to use some hair gunk just to give it some more texture and mess it up a little bit. i don't think there's been a day since i was 12 (25 now) that i haven't put a little product in my hair. i basically have it down to a science now. looks natural but its kinda annoying. i use Redken Men Texture Putty Outplay - just a small amount about the size of a pinky nail.

i wish my hair did something else but i dunno what to do with it falling flat and straight forward as soon as i get out of the shower every morning.

people with fine hair should always blow dry their hair
