Live. It still blows my mind that people actually donate these. Sixteen bucks after old fart discount. Filson 1442N Mile Marker cover cloth waxed cotton jacket. Yeah. Made my day.

Speaking of Filson, my thrifted tote back came back from getting the handles replaced the other day.

Free. of. charge.

Also they repaired the little hole on pic 3.

I will say the old leather is so much nicer than new.

Night shift. Took over an hour to finally become piss drunk with milk and pass out.

Wouldn't mind hitting a few stores tomorrow but I'll be zoinked. Happy friday.

I remember those days well. The days are long but the years fly by. My oldest will be 10 this year. Crazy....

What season of TPB are you on? It's one of my favorite shows. I am rewatching them now for about the 4th time now. Never gets old. They really remind me of the Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers comics that I used to read a lot in high school.

LOL Freak Brothers! Freewheelin' Franklin's motto became mine for life: "Nothing is important enough to bother me". Along with Alfred E. Neuman's "What, me worry?"

And of course, Franklin's famous: "Dope will get you through times of no money better than money will get you through times of no dope". True dat.

I'm trying to savour every minute even if she's being dramatic at 1am.

Just restarted the first season, but I do wish we saw more of Cyrus over the episodes. Just hilarious listening to the same song over and over being greasy telling people that he has work to do.

I’m not sure what constitutes a thriftening, but I think there’s at least been a spring thaw this week.

Last vestiges of winter

Malden mills logo for the fleece is cool. Stio is a Jackson hole based company and new to me.

From ‘82, these are the oldest denim I’ve found. Not selvedge but nice hard hand. Lightly worn.

It goes fast. My oldest was colicky and hardly slept. We had this bouncing exercise ball that we used to have to use to “bounce” him to sleep. Rocking wouldn’t cut it. I remember being in there at 2-3 am bouncing his back to sleep. The minute you’d set him down, his eyes would be wide open and he’d have this big smile. I couldn’t be mad with that smile, but man was I tired. These days, a team of wild horses can’t drag him out of bed on a school morning.

Church thrift fit. First time rocking the new jacket.

Looked a little closer the other night. It has NRA tag on the inside pocket, which would date this to 1933-1935. Besides a tiny moth nibble on the left shoulder which I am going to see if my wife can fix, this thing is in almost perfect condition. Crazy, considering it’s 90+ years old.

That’s a fantastic jacket. The horizontal swoop of the lapel really unique.

Love the tight machine stitching on the pockets and lapels.
