Grenson recently outsourced their production to India, and while the shoes are still quite nice, the older English-made ones are better. Great shoes at any rate, I have a couple similar pairs of loafers from them.

My pug had eye surgery yesterday, so the have sown both his eyes pretty much totally shut and pumped him full of morphine. Its ofcourse kinda sad, but at the same time so very funny, hes a blind junky, stumbling around the apartment making a mess.

Poor little guy... I hope that he makes a speedy recovery. Pugs are awesome!

I like the pants photo setup. Speaking of, I have about 300 pairs in my backlog and hate to do effing pants

I know right? Pants always seem like a pain **********, but lately I've been going pretty smooth with em. I'm using just a piece of big white paper on the floor with 3 softboxes setup around it, and my pants photos are coming out pretty professional looking:

They actually go pretty fast if they're flawless. I think the measuring actually takes longer than photographing.

Some decent cds at the thrift today. Pretty much the musical equivalent of finding staple navy suit. Spoilered for those that don't care about such things:

Neil Young - Everybody Knows This is Nowhere
Jane's Addiction - Nothing's Shocking
Jane's Addiction - Kettle Whistle
Clash - Combat Rock
Rolling Stones - Let It Bleed
Rolling Stones - London Years (3cd)
Bob Dylan - Blood on the Tracks
Michael Jackson - Thriller (special edition)
Morrissey - Bona Drag
Violent Femmes - s/t
Who - Quadrophenia
Who - Who By Numbers
Pixies - Doolittle
Rod Stewart - Best of
Steely Dan - Aja
Janis Joplin - Best
some 80s compilations with tracks I had not heard before.

Some of these I already had but felt compelled to pick up anyway.

Just a few random ties lately, the last sputterings of a tapped-out city. Come, listen. Press your ear to the concrete. Is this legit?, it seems to ask with its dying breath.

DO NOT DISAPPOINT MY DYING CITY!

I thought only the G-Two's were made in India, and the rest still made in the UK... Has that changed?

The pairs I've seen that have the red insole with the raised G stamp, like the loafers posted, have all been manufactured in India. I'm not familiar with the different collections, though, so if those are G-Twos, then that answers that.

Couple of weeks ago I found a Cucinelli puffer vest at an outlet, final sale at 87% off retail. I looked the thing over very carefully, figuring that it must be damaged, and somehow didn't see that it was missing 2 buttons (the kind that snap). I emailed Cucinelli and they are shipping another set directly from Italy at no cost to me - talk about taking care of customers :slayer:

The way my thrifting goes... Buy a hoodie online, then find another one in a thrift shop for a fraction of the price. Pop for me on a Snap-T Hoody...

Ok thanks for the tips. None were full suits just jackets, and the size was pretty large I think 48-50L so I passed not knowing if I could sell the items or not. For future reference since the sizes are pretty large would it be worth it to get them anyway??

I did however find a nice canalli tie that made it home with me...
