Odd you don't like Cordovan considering you bought those white a1923 which I hear are made out of super stiff horse and are most likely stiffer than CCP. I am not sure if that is a good thing.

Sorry, meant shell cordovan, not just stiff horse. I like stiff boots, just not impossibly stiff

Thankfully you're a size smaller than me.

Now to the real meat of the matter: What are you replacing them with? Or are thinking to replace them with?

I'm expanding my small agglomeration with some destroyed horse.

Thanks to K.

I think CCP is exclusive to Maxfields on the west coast and Atelier on the east coast. Before anyone chimes in re: Atelier- I know A is closed but they still have their CCP account.

Does max fields have an eshop these days? Last I looked they used farfetch I think.

no eshop- call the store for info/pics and they will ship to you. AMEX only for phone orders.

So you're the one that had them "on hold" all this time. I asked him twice about buying those cdiems but he ignored me :plain: Nice pickup

I wanted to get my tan Carpe Diem dyed anyone got any recommendations? I'm in Bay Area but I think anywhere in the states would be fine.

eckblk is definitely the man to ask for this, but The Firm in NYC is what folks would use for dye jobs. Not sure if F&J Western has the expertise.

I dyed some Cdiem S21M back zips once- brown to black. The reverse calf leather became super stiff afterwards and I ended up flipping them.

Chomeo had a pair of S23M in full grain dyed and they turned out much better.
