UNIFORM LA CHILLICOTHE WORK JACKET Drop, going on right now.
Uniform LA's Chillicothe Work Jacket is an elevated take on the classic Detroit Work Jacket. Made of ultra-premium 14-ounce Japanese canvas, it has been meticulously washed and hand distressed to replicate vintage workwear that’s been worn for years, and available in three colors.
This just dropped today. If you missed out on the preorder, there are some sizes left, but they won't be around for long. Check out the remaining stock here
Good luck!.

NST is high on my list. I have to admit that I was focused on exotics. Looking at #8 has provided me with sine clarity. I really wish the Leffot pre order wasn't at the same time as my LS boots. Debating on the antique vs dark edgetrim.
Great boots. This makes it very clear for me.
I will only buy black shell in models I already have in #8.
Very difficult choice. I could go grudgingly with the WT but you can't go wrong with either choice. I have the WT and I will add a PTB (not sure if unlined or not) within the next year
Let's be honest, if they were "just shoes"we wouldn't be willing to spend upwards of $500 a pair on them. Sometimes a very well-worn shoe can be great. The wear actually improving the aesthetic of the shoe. However, sometimes a shoe looks better to me when it's fairly new looking. I especially find this with wingtips. Sometimes the way the shoe creases can really diminish the otherwise fantastic lines of a shoe. In Cordovan for instance, sometimes the creases are particularly sharp, making the shoe look like a chewed up piece of plastic. I guess it's personal taste. For 5-800 a pair I want to keep them looking new for as long as I can.
+1. Great looking boots.
And Uncle, as to your Ravello gunboats, you've done it again.
This is going to seem like a silly question but what are the pro's/con's of lined versus unlined? I always assumed unlined was more casual and for wear without socks. But I would never think of a PTB that fits this bill.
First, go to their site and register. Once you get the email, call the store and let them know you want to do a preorder and that you have a coupon. They will take your payment information and apply the $50 credit. Unfortunately, they did charge me $20 for shipping, however this was offset by the $50 couponCan you apply this $50 to preorders? How does J Gilbert preorder system work in this case?
Well, iPhone a few pairs of chromexcel and creased pretty easilyPerhaps just opt for good quality calf if you are concerned about creases. No?
Am I the only one who hates creases? I've been thinking of trying some crease guards
What is the consensus on leather soled, Alden boots? I don't plan on slushing around, shoveling snow with them...but if it is snowing or did snow...is there any protection from moisture? Or are they strictly dry winter weather boots?
The main difference is that the unlined PTBs feel a lot lighter and more flexible out of the box due to the unlined upper and single, flex welt sole. Despite that I wouldn't recommend it sockless. The standard PTB is a much studier, heaver shoe with its double leather sole.
Some people say the unlined PTB creases easier, but I haven't really observed that on my black pair.
Both PTBs can be pretty dressy - I would even say the unlined PTB can look "sleeker" due to the single leather sole, but clearly the lined PTB is also a classic dress shoe. Both can also be worn casually.
Appreciate any links to some good overshoes for oxfords and boots.nephew,
overshoes, the best protection for $20
All of my Barrie shoes and boots are 9D. I have AE's 1 last in 9.5D, 10C, and 10D. 10C is the best. I really like AE's 1 last.
Looking to buy my first pair of cordovan shoes and wanted some opinions on a pair of chukkas vs longwings. I want a versatile shoe that can be worn with a suit as well as a pair of jeans.
