agreed! to me, the u-tip is much more appealing that the NST. If there were a shell Utip boot (or a non tru-b indy shell indy boot) t'would be an instakop

Frans Boone in Holland. Prices reflect an international store peddling US-made product, but that ravello is sweet -- and fortunately out of my size, lest I get tempted even at that price....

these boots, which made on the Plaza, look blobby. Toe is fairly round, almost like barrie. Is it because of the commando sole?

Angle of photo and distance of photo. Closer distance/wider angle = roundness is accentuated.

here they are. fat and bloated. looks worse than Barrie. I cannot convincgly say that these are Plaza. If anything, they are a wide fitting. im telling you, something is awry and another Plaza on double leather. That looks like a Plaza:

You can be amazed at the difference a single leather sole and flat welt makes in a shoe vs. double leather and storm welt.

My one experience with a U-tip (shoe, not boot) wasn't great, as the shoe broke in it had funky creases, etc. Thought I was going to love them but I ended up dumping them. [Didn't Tom make up a plaza lasted Indy? It was admittedly less ugly than the Trubalance Indy but there was plenty of ugly left...]
