if you want 403's or 404's, call Tom Austen Shoes in NYC - they are going out of business and all Aldens marked down 20% right now - was there today - the Indys are going for about $360, brand new -

I talked with them briefly yesterday, they have all the "regular" styles and colors, and all of the sizes I needed. Alas,I am on the fence because they had too many options, so I am deciding which one(s) to get.

10.5 was the only one I saw, modified last is hard to come by. If it was shell I would have bought without hesitation but it's calf.

Also regarding Tom Austin, will they ship shoes? What models in shell do they have?

I have no idea if they will ship - also, the styles they carry are the "normal" ones you'd find on Alden's website - didn't see much shell - to me, the highlights were the 403's and 404's, as well as a CXL Chukka - honestly, I didn't spend a lot of time in there, had to run to meet someone. I definitely suggest giving them a call, just know they are closed on Sundays.

    Gentleman,
saw these beautiful Tassel Loafers tan suede FD-36880 on TSM irregular list discribed as "on Barrie Last"

They doesn't look like Barrie - my chocolate brown suede Tassel Loafer are build on the Aberdeen last.

Could anyone confirm these are build also on the Aberdeen?

    Thanks for help

I know they had #8 shell longwings, balmoral wingtips and LHS in 11.5 and 12. And they offered to ship.

I pulled the chukkas from the classified... Cordo chukkas go great with chinos (better than the Indy boots, which shine with jeans)

I've learned to live with the creasing on these - my next cordovan chukkas will be in 9.5E instead of 10D though (this will minimize creasing)

Nothing more comfortable than a freshly oiled pair of 403's.
