Thanks shaunW for the heads up, saw plenty I want, none in my size sadly.

Just go to the alden section where you can 'view all' and sort the results from 'Price: Lowest to Highest' and you'll have like 10 pages of seconds where they'll say "Sale" in red with x% off.

That's how I was able to find it last year, however being able to add a pair to your cart and even ordering them might not mean that they have it in stock since sometimes their inventory isn't always up to date (but with so many shoes I can understand that)

How do AE's fit compared to clarks desert boots? I'm considering picking up some park avenue seconds in black. I just need to get a black oxford cap for upcoming school events and interviews. Maybe ill buy a lesser brand for my first pair but just would like to know how to size.

This can also be normal if you have flat feet - as the arch collapses the foot will move forward.

Alden lovers, hint hint

Check out theshoemart website. They have everything listed this evening including all the seconds listings. Definitely a few gems for those with smaller and larger feet and odd sizes in general. I only wish the color #4 ptb with dover pattern was my size.....sigh! I can't find anything that works for me but i figured maybe someone can snag something cool.
Don't wait by morning the website will be back to normal.

I edited this because I can't read. It's black calf and I put shell at first. But the edge trim is interesting. And a CXL option.

Agreed. Need to be careful not to extract universalities from shoe threads. Mac's break-in method is one that will hold true, however.

Does the style no. with FD-XXXXX on theshoemart mean factory seconds?
and the XXXXX means the standard Alden style no. I presume.
