It completely goes against my initial Alden shell acquisition plan -- namely, to not double up on a style before having one each in #8, cigar, ravello, and whiskey -- but lately I'm filled with a strong desire to get the PTB shell rainbow (including black, even). I love the LHS, LWB, cap toe boots, and so on, but there's something about the PTB. I probably won't do it, but I'm tempted.

I felt the same way about the LWB... whiskey is all that's missing for me, but I decided to go with the wt bal to mix it up a little. Pics coming...

I think I've seen the LWB collection pics you've posted in the past RTP. What is your favorite LWB, or how would you rank them? Or, is that like picking a favorite child?

Those are amazing! Where are they from?

New Black Boots....

Those are amazing! Where are they from?

Beautiful. Details?
Thanks... they are the Black Pct boot from Moulded shoe on the Modified Last. I had them resoled by Nick at B. Nelson shoes to duplicate as close as possible the RRL Madison boot sold at the Grand Opening of the London RRL store...I think they came out pretty good...

Hey all,
I recently purchased a pair of cigar shell indys online. Needless to say, they are unbelievable. I've worn them about 5x and noticed this past weekend that the left inside heel of the right boot is separating from the sole (I can open it to less than a millimeter gap). It appears it's just an adhesive issue. Alden suggested I return to online site where they were bought at which time they would be sent to Alden for "inspection and/or repair." My questions are (a) is this normal? and (b) should I just take them to my shoe guy and have him put a little glue in there or part with them for a bit?
