I know Swims are popular but I just grap the $20 overshoes at the local cobbler. I tend to size up for the pair I use for my LWB and boots.
Hope that does include pre-orders. At this rate my Edward Green collection may be growing. I love Alden and enjoy buying an American made product and although it isn't there yet, the decision becomes more and more difficult as the price gap closes. So we are likely looking at $750 for specialty cordovan? Factor in shoe trees and it's almost up to $800.

Call Joe at Alden DC. I thought when I spoke to him the other day they had this in stock...Guys I really like to track down a cigar shell ptb. I checked the shoemart website with no luck
Boot laces are Outdoor laces from Kiwi in brown/yellow, from Nordstrom Rack (7eyelet, I think)
Thank you, Uncle!! Nothing much yet compared to your collection, but I'm trying!
Your point is well taken, and today I am wearing my dark oak antique/dark brown suede captoe bals (perf tip) on the 888 last with an olive suit.
But, for the most part, EGs and Aldens, IMO, are so different stylistically that it many times is an apples to oranges comparision.- particularly when comparing EG Calf models to Alden shell models. I like both makers.
