Perhaps they feel SF is a safer place to screw up on the West Coast (and thus learn from), rather than going directly to LA first. I highly doubt that whatever they've learned about the US from their sole location in NYC is overly applicable to the rest of the country.

I recently received the Attachment zip boots and snapped a quick fit pic. They are very comfortable and the coloration is a lot nicer in person than conveyed by the picture. Purposefully styled with black denim in order to gain Jet disapproval points....
