the key is to buy a TON of stuff because its being hyped at the moment and then instantly regret your purchases

Ha I mean the vast majority of the stuff I buy can be styled coherently with what I already have, and usually I stick with brands i already really love. I actually really don't have that many clothes, prolly far less than the majority of top posters on here

I see, so now you're a "top poster" around here. Aren't you high and mighty? (kidding)

I find that when I look at clothes online I'm like, "yeah, that'd be awesome" and I get all sorts of weird ideas about what aesthetic I think I should go for. When I check stuff out in person, and particularly when I actually try stuff on, it's clear to me pretty quickly what works for me and what doesn't. Yohji, for instance, is cool on other people; on me, makes me feel like a child who got into my dad's closet and put on a bunch of oversized stuff. in yohji, clothes wear me (in soviet russia...)

Lol by top poster I just meant I spend way more time on here than I should (over 3,000 posts, when the **** did that happen?!).

I know there are a lot of styles I should never even attempt but can still appreciate. Still trying to carve out my own niche though, beyond "high end, vaguely japanese inspired streetwear that can be mistaken for clothing 1/8 of its price."
