Didn't post in foreverrr.

Lockdown got me hard the first time in March 2020 but I prepared better when they inevitably closed the gym again in December. I bought a (inclinable) bench and 100kg of weight plus a barbell. Built a poverty squat rack out of wood with a pullup bar screwed onto it and last but not least borrowed a Kettler stationary bike from family.

Currently doing Upper, Legs, Cardio, Upper, Legs, Upper, Cardio while dedicating every lunch break to it while 100% working from home. I really think I never want to go back to the office again, this is way more convenient.

Currently mainly working on getting leaner again, as my weight has slowly crept up by 7 kg over the last 2 years. When traveling comes hopefully back end of the year, I'll be ready to humble brag at some tropical beach.

Can anyone comment on those pullup bars that are held in place by the casing above a door? My apt complex gym doesn't have a bar for some reason and I'm really missing it. Thinking about getting one of those contraptions.

I have one. It works well, but distorted my door frame a bit at the contact points. Not sure if there's any way around that.

I used to use one.
The drawback is that they end up being low, and you can't do a full hang unless you're really short.
I ended up getting an iron rig that bolts to a joist in the garage.

I'm pretty short, and high a high doorframe anyway. Thanks, I'm going to give one a shot.

Got it. Works great, but man, trying to do chin ups after a year of being a lazy quarantined slob is pretty humbling.

Just start slow, and it comes back pretty quick.
But yeah, pull ups are the debil. My chest hurts more after a pull up day, than after a chest exercise day...

Up to 100 pushups and 15 pullups a day. Next goal....being able to do them consecutively. And yeah, same here with pullups making my chest more sore than anything!

This is my latest torture.
When I first watched this video, I'm like, I'll kill this. Because I do a lot of push ups.
In reality, this is ridiculous, and I haven't been able to complete it......yet.
I think the killer is no rest.

Oh yeah, I should probably clarify, "a day" means "in a day." I do have rest days.

Reviving a mighty old thread for some advice. I'm FINALLY back to properly going to a real gym, and was looking into getting a new workout bag. Do any of y'all have bags you prefer or have made good use of in the past? I honestly have no clue where to even start, aside from the typical fitness brands like Adidas, Nike, and the like...and would prefer a more "grown up" bag.

Preference would be either a leather (probably not that practical haha) or a canvas bag, ideally with 2-3 external pockets.

Any thoughts?
