I recently picked up two pre-owned Polo Ralph Lauren suits in a size 40. One is a dark olive brown bird's-eye (with ticket pocket) the other a navy blue pinstripe. I like them both but I've come to the conclusion that Ralph makes suits for people with more muscular arms and chests than mine...
I may be interested to trade these for suits or jackets which fit me better. I'm 6.1, 148 pounds. Looking for suits/jackets with the following measurements:
shoulder width: 18-18.5"
chest (pit to pit): 20.5-21"
sleeve length: 25-25.5"
length boc: 30.5-31"
Both suits are made by Corneliani ("Cooper model"), from a few years ago but looking great.
Bird's-eye:
Tag reads 50L (EUR). 3 button (rolls to 2.5), double vent. Ticket pocket. Trousers (waist 34) have double reverse pleats and suspender buttons, hemmed at 33".
Navy pinstripe:
Tag reads 50R (EUR). 3 button (rolls to 2.5), double vent. Trousers (waist 34) have single reverse pleats and suspender buttons, hemmed at 33". At some point these trousers were taken in at the waist. I had them let out again to their original waist size and discovered that the trouser seat was mended at some point to camouflage a tiny hole in the seat. Close-up reveals waist tailoring history just under the hem. It's not obvious and in any case, a gentleman does not remove his suit jacket...
Both suits have been dry-cleaned and as I said I had quite a bit of work done on them to restore them to their proper condition.
Would consider selling them as well, pm me if you're interested.
