Hello, I recently got the Momo 0701. Presoak fit is like I should size down one size if these were not shrink, should I size down?

I am usually reluctant to use hot water with clothes, since it may affect the look or appearance of the fabric. These jeans look quite nice in this raw presoak state, is hot water going to affect this look somehow? it´s my first pair of unsanforized denim, sorry about the newbie questions.

Soaking might soften them up a bit but won't dramatically affect the appearance.
Wearing them will, though ...

No, mine did not. Only the waist stretched 1".

Thighs won't stretch back out

Thighs on the 0701 are hard/close to impossible to stretch. It would take prolonged wear to notice a different. I sized down in my 0701's and would not recommend it unless you know what you are doing. TTS is your best bet.

Momotaro's are a tight weave indeed. You can get some stretch in the waist but don't expect wonders.

The waist can stretch back to its raw pre soak measurements after wears. Beyond that might be a bit difficult. The momos are tight weave indeed and that's why I like it.

Hi. New to thread. Just preordered Momos 0705tn. I'm thinking of changing the size. I am a true waist size 33. All my current pants and jeans have a 34ich waist, but they are loose and sag. My other jeans have smaller thigh measurements than the 0705tn, so I'm not worried about that. Should I get a 33 in the 0705tn?

^ What are your "current" jeans. Momo "Vintage" denim shrinks eventho partially sanforized ... & doesn't stretch much, as u prolly gathered from reading through this thread.

I sized up on the 701.

I have a Momotaro 13oz silk denim and would prefer to shorten it before first washing. The label says sanforized. Has anybody experiences if the silk denim shrinks in length?

I know this is the Momotaro thread, but I cant seem to find one for Japan Blue. Has anyone tried Japan Blues Hi-Tapered fit? I'm thinking of ordering a pair off of okayadenim or denimio, so i want to get the fit perfect, cause returns seem like a huge hassle.
