I don't recall seeing that particular block at Optimo. Not to say they didn't make it as they have dozens and dozens of blocks in their workrooms.

That crown is so elegant. I too, always go for the fullest blocks, that create "Reverse taper" when it is creased into a teardrop. I find the formality of the style so stately , and dignified. Whoever owns that block is very fortunate. That hat is so classy. I usually don't see such a formal block and crease on such a casual weave. You made the right choice.

I need to pop into Optimo sometime even though I probably can't afford anything in there. Their work looks amazing. :slayer:

I drive by that area literally everyday to/from work. I will definitely make it in there.

Funny, I stopped in the downtown Optimo store several months ago and was told they would only do Milans in a standard relatively low teardrop creased crown. I wish I'd known a hat like yours was possible. Don't know when I'll next be back in Chicago.

I've found it best to direct any and all questions to Graham personally.

Yes, a 100% correct. Many times the right information is not relayed to his associates. Always best to speak with Graham, and if he is busy just call back later.

Still the associates are knowledgeable, but there is a possibility of key errors in the information they provide.
