That would be quite a trick since almost all of them are blake stitched.

Btw, Amesbury is highly regarded by the Maftei family. Though there is not much on the fora about him. Can you be more precise, Matt?

I had heard about personal issues that caused delivery problems, but I don't know if they are true.

I think it depends on the kind of shoe you want. For many shapes, no, but for some it is kind of essential as machines cannot get as close in as hands can.

Dimitri Gomez is also known as Dimitri Bottier, FWIW.

Also, FWIW, very own iammatt (who, along with mafoofan and manton, if you ask me, are massively indispensable on SF, AAAC and all other clothing message boards they are members of

), confirmed that Dimitri Gomez matches or marginally exceeds Silvano Lattanzi in handwork.

However, Dimitri Gomez's sales are with 90 something percent bespoke and single digit something percent made to measure with no ready to wear services or any services other than MTM or bespoke (vs. Silvano Lattanzi having RTW and MTM services only with neck and neck sales of both) and all around quality.

However, Dimitri Gomez charges less or much less money than Silvano Lattanzi simply because Silvano Lattanzi uses a lot of extremely expensive textures and colors of leather that Dimitri Gomez does not use due to Dimitri Gomez's customer not wanting these extremely expensive textures and colors of leather.

Everything in the third and fourth paragraphs about Dimitri Bottier vs. Silvano Lattanzi has also been confirmed by the vaunted iammatt.

You can do much better, for much less, elsewhere.
I would add to Iammatt comment handlasting. In my opininon the dividing line is handwelting (vs machine-goodyar welting) and handlasting (vs machine lasting). any shoe which is not handlasted and handwelted cannot be defined as entirely handmade, term of which the industry clearly and extensively abuse. Any updates for this tread about handmade footwear?
