I think it's the very structured shoulders, the low gorge and the awkwardly shaped body with low-cut armpits and almost square quarters.

the material looks nice but it does have some awkward shape to it... the shoulders are very structured and the quarters seem almost miniaturized or something (could be pic angle) giving it and odd contradiction. It might work much better in a more eclectic, "devil-may-care" kind of fit.

Some good looks today folks. Miles I think that SC would look alot better if it had more soft shoulders. They are like in between structured and extended but not roped. It is like the no mans land of shoulders. Basically it looks like it was altered when it should look like it was altered for you. The gorge is a bit low as well. However, the fabric is good and I think you should look for similar pieces in more modern cuts. May i suggest scouring ebay or b&s?

For those waiting with bated breathe, I decided to get the borelli linen suit. I am going to get the DB blazer if it is still avaiilable after I sell some old items :)

Also, received in the mail some epaulet rudy trousers, very nice quality and a caruso light grey sharkskin suit. I am spoiled, I don't think I will ever be able to purchase a non-full canvas suit again...

Pictures and fits to come

Thank you all for the input. I have little knowledge of SCs, so I appreciate the education.
