UnreasonableMan - welcome. Interesting look to bring to the thread. I like seeing something different here.
macaroni - stellar look; great way to dress down the jacket.
RJE - thanks for the advice. The only snag is I actually like all the ties I have (especially the more flamboyant ones) so don't have any motivation to cull them. The idea of theoretically being better-dressed by a more objective standard with new ones is certainly not enough.
Dig - listen to bourbonbasted unless you genuinely don't care about any potential friction/risk that may result because you have other options. If the latter case, enjoy cocking a snook!

Haven't had much to post from the last few days; been very casual (example of that spoiler-coded below). Today a bit smarter:

A rare spring like day in early March! Too bad that it won't last.

I was considering doing this styling on my sportcoat I ordered yesterday, however I was apprehensive due to the fact the peak lapels and patch pockets are kind of contradictory.

Patch = Casual

Peak = Dressy

Am I wrong?

No disrespect, but the first thing I thought when I saw this was "poor Spoo, in the darkness of his closet he mistook a grey SC for the matching jacket to his pants."

Upon closer inspection it looks good, but initially I did a double-take.

Sleeves are too long and collar isn't really made for ties. It irks

Response: Thanks for the kind comment. But, I hate you--madras shorts and polo. :happy: It is such a beautiful afternoon. I want to be outside!

Actually I think the jacket goes well with the pants? The jacket is so light compare to the pants. Spoo well done and it looks great!
