Faded jeans were never really out, just like raw jeans will never be out. Wear them if you like them.

I tend to wear faded jeans in warm or hot weather, dark indigo and black when it's cool.

Something I am pretty fanatical about is that they have to look neat and presentable. I never wear jeans that are crumpled, creased, dirty , baggy or ill-fitting. My favorite jeans look is gently worn in, subtly distressed, but well maintained and cared for. (This also applies to leather jackets.)

Look at pictures of Jackson Pollock painting in his studio. Canvas on the floor, disasatrous mess, throwing paint around, old dried brushes and cans all over. Looks crappy. Then take that drip painting and put it in a nice clean and airy gallery, hang it at the right height on a large wall of a muted pastel color. Then the glory shines through.

My apologies to those who don't like Pollock. Just trying to explain my aesthetic...

My point is that worn jeans have been out for a long time, I only see douches wearing them, why would a respected magazine recommend them as a stylish fashion choice.

I am not going to be wearing them, I have my own opinion on it, I'm asking for yours.

You only see douches wearing them? Has anyone defined the term "shallow" for you lately?

Christ.

The only pair of blue jeans I still wear from time to time are my somewhat faded APC new standard, I guess I am somewhat in.

Some runway shows, like Dsquared and even Dior, are definitely pushing strong washes so no surprise here, that stuff is coming back strong.

Surely the way the jeans look is more important than the brand. Every brand makes something good and something bad.

Take a walk through the city centre and find anybody wearing worn jeans that hasn't got over gelled hair and a fake tan, I'll give them a hundred bucks.

you would owe me a lot of money here in seattle, sir.

My opinion is I love the worn look especially if I did it. So in or not you can catch me in a pair.

i like faded jeans...although some are definitely seasonal

i have a pair of acnes thats kind of a bleached color...kinda like that one on tobi.com except not as white...more blue...a purely summer jean.

i also copped this pair of won hundred jeans on sale at blackbird. i like it, but so far, i haven't found any items that go really well with it...sadly one of those purchases that theoretically was good in my head, but so far haven't found much that works with it.
