Hat, face and all - whether fool or not I leave to the discretion of the viewer.

I like your hat by far the best. It has the most character. You know how to wear it!

As far as not looking like a fool, which was, after all, the challenge.
These two girls came up to me and wanted to have my picture taken with them at the gay pride parade in SF.
I was the best dressed there, maybe not the best undressed there, but certainly the best dressed.

Sup Playa, Playa. Way to Boss Up ma Nig. You do 11/5 Justice. ;)

lolz.

i dont think anyone is disputing that diazs fit was the best fit in the challenge, by a country mile. i think that some people are are just irked by the fact, yes i said fact, that votes are garnered by more than just fit. which i think is the reality, for better or worse. and especially considering the option to vote for multiple contestants, its really not a big deal.

This.

Sure but money isn't all important. For example Albert Hal, Orge and TTO (at least early on) thrifted a lot of their clothes and they look great.

You would laugh if you knew what my linen suit cost me. I got it on a HEAVY discount, true, so it's worth more than its price, but it was a laughable amount

True, fit and silhouette aren't great, but it's pretty good for RTW I believe.

And I'm not rich or even near. Heck, I bet for the average of this forum, I'm an indigent. Extremely humble job, social life, home, etc. Coat and tie for work, old t-shirts and jeans for hanging out at punk bars - quite funny. You don't see anyone on my income level dressed in coat and tie, much less voluntarily, but I just like it and happen to have some expendable money from time to time...

Thanks for the votes gents, and guess now it's time to think of a new challenge... let's see what I can come up with

How about a thrift fit challenge or a challenge involving a cost limit then?

Congrats to RDiaz! Everything else aside, he did a bang up job and, if I remember correctly, he recently purchased/started wearing hats. That's an impressive feat, as hats are often said to be "too much," but clearly he can make it look relaxed/natural.

Can't wait to see the next challenge, though I'd love to see another hat contest in the colder months. I liked the idea of the flag challenge that was mentioned a while back.

A cost limit challenge sounds like a pretty good idea, though that would probably exclude myself unless I wear the same linen suit again... changing my buying philosophy to less stuff, better quality has made my summer wardrobe consist of more expensive pieces overall

I'll do some brainstorming...

I'd be down for an unusual shirt colour challenge, solid white, and everything blue forbidden.

white is only allowed as long as it is not the dominant colour, meaning an orange candy stripe shirt is allowed or a purple gingham.

would be fun to see red, green, and yellow shirts done tastefully.

Bring out your black 1/2 sleeved button down shirt sugar butch. The one with the epaulets!

Funny that you mention that, because I almost bought a bright yellowish green PRL button down shirt the other day. For some peacockin', you know. I might still get it, though it's not as deeply discounted now.

I actually quite like the idea... and would go further and disqualify pink, off-white and lavender shirts as well. Just stranger colors, like purple, green, red, yellow, orange, etc. Those are "easier" to pull off in the summer, with some colorful outfit... and I bet most of us have one of those shirts hiding deeply within our closets, as a remnant of a darker past
