Mike, is the Dartmouth the same as what was previously described as "unconstructed"?

I highly recommend the unconstructed fit... very friendly to weight fluctuations too. :)

I need another suit like I need a hole in the head, but I always like looking at new fabrics. I need tweed even less (if I move anywhere, it'll likely be somewhere even warmer)... :D

@cyclohexane yes sir, it's what we've been delivering as the unconstructed shape this year.

If you've got room for another suit, definitely consider the Estrato... it's really the greatest fabric when you're moving around a lot with equipment. Lightweight and comfortable too.

Pardon the moment of transparent self-interest, but given all the interest in Harris Tweed SCs at a great price, do check my signature...! No waiting involved.

Quoted for truth... someone should absolutely buy this off of him. That fabric was amazing!

Let's suppose someone were to order a Harris Tweed suit. Should it be done in the Dartmouth?

Personally, I would prefer the natural shoulder style for a suit, as the shorter length of the Dartmouth is more suitable for a sport coat.

Too bad leather elbow patches aren't an option. Haha.

I have a Harris Tweed Dartmouth and it's a great shape for the fabric. It's heavy enough to hold its own, though it reads a bit slouchier, which is really the classic HT suit look anyway. Highly recommended.

Southwick cut some of my Darmouths extra long, and I actually thought it looked pretty good. Ended up not having them shortened despite EP's generous offer to pay for any needed alterations. TBH they probably landed about where a more traditional suit jacket would have anyways.

This is the way I was thinking.

I'm not concerned about the shorter length of the Dartmoth since there are short and long options.

Hey Mike,

Do you have plans on making white high top trainers with gum midsole?

I ask because your OG GATs I got are still going strong. The gum midsole hides the dust really well where as regular white midsole looks beat up after several wears.

Could you share a bit better photo of the Chestnut Italian Wood Flannel? It's hard to make out the type of brown that it is - it appears a bit reddish?

Videos should be coming today, according to Mike. Those are always the best way to get a sense of the range of color in a fabric.

Mike -- are there other details about the Dartmouth's shape/cut that are different than the regular jacket? Specifically, I'm wondering if you made the armholes higher (or labels wider).

Thanks!

@bullswin the lapels are slightly wider: 3" vs 2.75", and the armholes are actually a little bit deeper. Not so much that you'd notice visually, but it makes the shoulder work better and makes the jacket adapt nicely to an athletic shape if needed.

Hey @Viral - you got the EFF Hertling pants, right? Should be coming through right before Christmas
