I'd say that the putty English drill would be a better dress trouser. It's a lighter tone that's more easily matched.

The fabric comes from the same mill as the UK canvas. It's thicker and holds a crease better. It's a better overall choice for biz-caz IMO.

That said, if you like the canvas that we used to run, then we can certainly order that as well. It's the same price. Just order the English Drill and shoot us an email to sub it out. This is the old Walt:

I prefer English drill for dressing up though. And that putty color will really go with anything.
They're a definite for Fall 2015. We're looking at getting those in September. I *may* be putting through
a shell cordovan sample
as we speak...
