I have a question regarding lasts. Are the rain and Inca lasts basically the same except for the toe shape? Rain is soft square and Inca is on the pointier side. But does the rest of the shoe fit the same?

For the Detriot last,

Do you guys generally size down half size or one full-size from the Barrie?

I feel like I can probably do a full-size but it can be rather tight. I'm definitely half-sized down from the Rain and I take the same in the Simpson.

So...

Barrie - 8.5D
Rain - 8UK
Simpson - 8.5UK
Detriot - 8UK can "probably" squeeze into 7.5UK.

Thoughts?
I'm TTS 7.5E, take a 7E Barrie nicely, and a 6.5UK wide on Detroit fits really well. Rain in 6.5UK wide is a little snug at first but breaks in to a good point. I think I prefer the rounded shape of Detroit better though.

My 2 cents.

Hi Tim, according to Carmina Inca is wider than Rain.
Inca is also Carmina's premium last which features better sole materials & more hand work, offering better flexibility according to Carmina.

I'm 8.5D barrie, 8UK Rain (fits snug for me), and 8UK Detroit (fits about the same as Barrie for me).

Personally I wear UK 11 for both Inca and Rain.

With all this Inca (and Chelsea) talk lately, I thought I would share a photo of my almost four-year-old Chelseas. I bought them from The Armoury on the day that they opened! Had them ever since, wear them several times a week. They have been worn to bars, through the snow, for long walks, on several first dates, and everywhere in between. The most comfortable pair of shoes that I own, bar none. They fit a little bit wider than some of the other lasts that I have tried, but they are still on the sleeker side. Just a great, great pair of shoes.

I love these.
I almost wore mine today. They are seriously comfortable.

You guys feel the austerity brogue in suede is casual enough to wear instead of a suede Dover? Especially with denim?

I'm loving the look, just worried it's too niche (eg with summertime slacks only).

Too niche for summer wear, you mean?

Personally I've never felt comfortable dressing down low shoes. Boots seem to have more wiggle room, but even casual shoes look weird to me with denim.
