The dark brown is front row, bottom in the picture I posted of the Dundee's. Truffle next to it at the top front. So it looks like you're missing either brown or dark brown. Assuming, of course, that they are actually different colors.
I haven't taken a picture of my brown Patriot's with other brown shoes yet. But here is the 744 which AE made for Wolverine and Horween calls Dark Cognac or in house #449. There are some rumors floating around that it is the same color as the brown shell strand. As you can see it fits the rainbow perfectly. I already have the Strand in walnut shell and mine have enough dark in them that it would be redundant to get the brown Strands. So I too can't wait for your Dark Brown shell Dundee's to come in for you to compare
Above left to right is Dark Brown, Wolverine 744 in Dark Cognac, Truffle, and Walnut. The Dark Cognac certainly is different from Dark Brown and truffle. C&J also makes the Marlow for RL with Dark Cognac shell:
Because of the lack of bright lighting it is hard to tell the difference here but left to right is dark brown Dundee, 744, C&J, 744 and walnut. The C&J is identical in color to the 744's IRL although the captoe on the one 744 is a bit lighter the rest of it matches.
OK so where the heck where you when I wanted to add one more shell chukka to my collection and thought that Ravello would be unique? Ravello can vary a lot based on the amount of red in it and the pair of Ravello that I got is lacking a lot of red. So it is almost identical to the AE walnut. I thought whiskey was closer to walnut but you are correct, Ravello and walnut are very close in color.Isn't the one with the lighter welt (top, left) Alden ravello?
Left to right Walnut shell Dalton, walnut shell Strand, walnut shell Dundee, and Alden Ravello. All 3 walnut shell vary a little bit. The Daltons were ordered when the Walnut options were first offered and are a different color, especially over time, than the other 2 walnut shell which were ordered later. It has developed into what I would call a true walnut color. That is the beauty of shell IMO however, variations. I will put a commando sole on the Alden's for wear in winter weather and make them a bit different from the AE Dundee's. There is a very slight reddish tint to the Ravello but with indoor lighting you can't really tell the difference from the walnut shell. I wish that I would had picked up the whisky instead. But have enough chukka's now, even for me.
