I just received two spectacular pocket squares from David, my first from his company, but not my last. The fabric and sewing are amazing. I am a fan.

This thread about an overpriced TF tie prompted me to post my Hober wedding tie that I got for much much less.

Thanks SF (a new me)

It's listed under the Wedding Tie section on Hober's web-site.

Grad Schooler,

We have no knits in the near future - I am sorry. Maybe next year we will have time to start working on them.
Instead we have many new silks for later in the year also bow ties are currently just starting to be made after a long wait...

David, if you ever did offer knits, I think there is a color in which you could do a brisk business. The dark chocolate of your grenadine finas is very hard to find in knit ties. But it seems like a perfect color for a knit tie. It would compliment greenish tweed coats, B&W herringbone coats, B&W glen plaid coats, cream coats, and light blue coats. It would nicely dress down a navy blazer or a mid or light gray suit: a great sunny day look for spring or autumn. I have been searching for this color for a while, but nobody seems to offer it in a solid: Paul Stuart, J. Press, Lands' End, Kent Wang, Ben Silver, Drake's, K. J. Beckett. Beckett comes close, but his solid brown seems to have a bright orangey cast which IMO makes it a bit less versatile than the darker reddish cast of your dark chocolate fina. Drake's version also comes close.

Just received my shipping notification from David! Will post pics upon arrival.

(The order is: red cashmere with light lining, navy grossa grenadine, and forest green wool challis. All 6-fold with hand-rolled edges.)

I am enjoying this thread, and I am a Hober addict now. Like a couple others have done earlier, I will mail one of the following tie swatch sets to the first one who pms me and agrees to then send it on as well: (one set per person)

- grenadine garza grossa (gone)
- cashmere black warp (gone)
- linen (gone)

Just waiting on an order for 2 Macclesfield prints. Got one in standard 3-fold, and the other in lined 6-fold for comparison purposes. Any experience either way? Recommendations?
