I just got my first Cavour Mod 2 jacket and the fit is spot on for me in 148. Just need to let the sleeves out an inch or so.

I am so excited about it that I am considering ordering a suit as well in the near future, but am a bit confused by the models and pants sizing. It seems like the Mod 2 has soft shoulders, Mod 4 is structured, but I'm also seeing Mod 3 DB jackets and Mod 2 DB jackets. What is the difference?

Also, the Mod 2 trousers seem very slim and a size small in the wiast relative to the jacket size. I'm a 32 waist but it seems like the 48 waist is only 31.5 inches. Is there a way to order as separates and match a Mod 2 or Mod 4 jacket to Mod 3 trousers, which seem a bit more clasically proportioned?

Sounds to me like a 150 might work well then, perhaps with a little nip in the waist.

Clarification:
Mod 2 - Typical Napolitan style, soft shirt shoulder jacket.
Mod 3 - A double breasted Mod 2 ( Mod 2 DB is an old name, we adjusted it slightly)
Mod 4 - Slightly heavier canvas and constructed shoulder. More formal style.

And everything is based on a drop 7 instead of the typical US drop 6.

For a 32 waist, I recommend a sz 50 trouser.

As for mixing and matching, I am sure everyone can see the logistical nightmare of offering all models mix and match in every fabric...

For the time being we have the 'Cavour Twist' in Navy and Charcoal available in Mod 2 and 3 Jackets and Mod 2 and Mod 3 Trousers, that are sold separately.

I am looking to buy the new Solaro suit and I was wondering if you ever considered offering a second pair of trousers to purchase separately? I understand that you operate on a much smaller scale. But it's not really possible to break up a solaro suit and once pants wear out or get damaged the jacket will be useless

Thank you! I'll give 150 a try next time there's a sale.
