7 would be for a sz 54 roughly so it would work if you like the idea of a slightly oversized fit.

Not that it makes any difference but the name of the coat is Merino coat btw. Frozen Waves is the name of the entire FW11 collection

They run 1/2 to a full size large, depending on your instep. If you have a high instep like me, you'd need 1/2 size down from your typical US dress shoe size. People with lower instep can go down another 1/2 size because the length and width are there.
