BTW, is snuff suede suitable for summer? Or is it more of a fall color?

It is completely fine for summer, I don't see why it isn't. Suede is wonderful and adds texture. The snuff color is amazing in person and it pairs well with just about everything and certainly leans on the more casual side.

Looks nice. Are NSTs supposed to remind me of a baseball? The stitching does.

I always thought the NST was based off of something that was popular in Norway, but I am just going off of the name.

Quoddy has some mocs that have actual baseball-style stitching on them:

BeSpiffington - gonna be completely honest. 975's are somewhat widely available and snuff suede isn't. I love my snuff suede LWBs and everyone compliments them all the time - sad they don't realize shell is a much more desirable material huh? So yeah, I'd go snuff first and eventually buy some shell :)

I was tempted by the snuff suede LWB, but when i saw pics of the model the vendor had, they were A LOT lighter than i was hoping. They looked almost yellow/goldish, so I passed. The snuff suede shortwing from j gilbert on plaza looks nice, and is exclusive to them.

In Quantum of Solace Daniel Craig wore a dark brown chukka for most of the move, in the desert.

New ravello chukka on the Barrie last on their first outing.

Can see in person what's so special about Alden cordovan (these are my first Aldens)

Gentlemen, given a choice between three different Alden LWB's, a #8 cordovan, a black cordovan, or a snuff suede, and you didn't own any of them, which one would be your pick?

I have a piar of these in natural cxl. They are awesome. I stepped on what I thought was something sharp walking barefoot picking up stuff around my pool. I tossed those shoes on and went to dinner no issues with my foot. I came home took off the shoe and my foot started to hurt when I walked. I looked at the bottom of it and I had 4 bee stings on the bottom of my foot, never even felt it when I walked in those shoes.

In case anyone's looking, the J.Crew store on lower 5th Ave in Manhattan has natural chromexcel wingtip boots on sale for $539. Looks like barrie with commando sole. Didn't realize J.Crew carried these.
