Thanks everyone for convincing me that I actually need a + $600 pair of boots. Just ordered J Crew cap toe cord boot. They had one pair left in my size.

You also actually need a #8 LWB, a #8 PTB, a Suede Chukka, a boot with a commando sole, a Cigar Indy, and a Ravello LWB.
Get going!

Happy addiction.

This is why I need to stay away from forums!!!

Tried posting this earlier, but don't know what happened to my post...I'll try again. Quick question, guys: I just picked up my first pair of LWB's on a Leydon last in a 8 D. I wear a 7.5 D Indy boot. Do you guys also have a lot of room in the toe area? My big toe nails are right underneath the inside brogues, which are circled red in my pic. I can stick my index finger behind my heel when my feet are scrunched forward. Thanks in advance for the help!
If you can comfortably stick a finger behind your foot, I believe they're at least 1/2 size too big. They Leydon obviously doesn't have as much toe room as the Trubalance, so you might be OK. I guess it boils down to how loose you like your shoes.

Been waiting for a nice, dry spring day to give these gunboats their maiden voyage.

I'd quickly second Epualet MTO suiting. Fantastic offerings.

EDIT: Will also utilize this here post for the latest in a series of photographs. I call this "Last Day of the Year for Indy Boots"

The Ludlow suit is a marketing strategy using fashion models photographed by professionals. You obviously appreciate and spend good money on your footwear. Unless you want to look like a grown man still wearing the same suit he wore to his senior prom don't do it. J Crew ready-to-wear is extremely over priced and not of good quality. Ask yourself if you want to look like a guy who dates girls, or a gentleman who accompanies woman? Get a nice two-piece navy blue suit to start with. I wear Brooks Brothers Golden Fleece Madison wool suits because I can walk into a 43R, and they're made in America. Old school ya know. Just like we shop and research cool shoes you can do the same with suits. Look good feel good I say.
I cannot tell you how much I disagree with this last comment, as it seems that you have that in the incorrect order. FEELING good is what makes you look good. It starts from within, not with the clothing.

Knowing this is what will allow you to date girls and then also accompany women, effortlessly.

J Gilbert does a #8 shell plain toe boot on the Plaza. May work for you?

Yeah, the J Gilbert boots are nice, and I know others like Leather Soul have done some shell models on the Plaza. I think LS even did a PTB on the Plaza at one point.

Ahab if you want to part with your split toes, and they might fit an 11-11.5d, I'd be interested.

Thank you sir. I laud your opinion and sentiment. My point being only that there still is a level of appropriate dress required in certain circumstances. A well fitted anything will enhance your deportment in most situations. Confidence, confidence, confidence! My dad always told me that manners and etiquette are the best cloths a gentleman can wear.

+1 Recently I started getting my shirts made and it makes a difference in how I feel in that I'm comfortable, not fidgeting etc. It simply enhances how I already feel.
