Color 8 Cap Toes.

With some rubbers on for some protection from the probable rain.

I've never seen a horse cover his ass in the rain...

Bummer about going to the dentist. At least you have something nice to stare at as they torture you!

Yeah, they didn't sell out instantaneously, but I would be surprised if there were a ton of slots free when they close it.

Nice looking Patina on your Natty Indys.

Be careful as I'm not sure Alden will do a recraft if the rubber soles are replaced by another cobbler.

The boots look to have their fair share of wear on them but it seems odd to me all of the commando sole pieces would be coming off so uniformally and at the same time. Have you tried contacting Alden customer service (or the retailer you purchased them from)? I've had Alden replace soles for me free of charge that had similar issues, even after almost a year of heavy use (a crepe sole was separating from the rest of the shoe on both shoes all at the same time).

Thanks for the replies. I have not contacted Alden but maybe I should. The spots where the sole is peeling off seem to be the high abrasion areas where the stitching is worn through. Ive been wearing them pretty much full time since about Sept/Oct.

If I am just going to glue on a sole maybe it makes sense just to use these ones?

Topy's will not prevent a recraft. It was the suggestion to remove the commando sole and replace it that I was referring to. I can see that being problematic.

No. If the sole has been completely replaced with another sole, they may not re-craft.
