I might have to take a close up of the navy one next time I wear it as I'm not sure you can really tell from the pictures and the bright white shirt. I actually thought if I had it anywhere it was on the grey one.....hmmm.

I see it in the navy one, which also has the exact same problem of the top button being off-center. Not sure if there is a cause/effect between the two, but I have seen both in the more noticeable collar gap instances. My point, though, was not to disparage the navy suit, but to point out how well the grey suit appears to fit you. It looks like future Benjamin suits in a 36S is a good option for you.

Sorry! OK answers in bold:
Do you sell suit separates, or work with customers that might need a jacket of one size and trousers of another?

No, but for most (solids - black, navy, charcoal, medium grey) we can switch the trousers out but please ask first because it depends on stock on hand.
As a general rule of thumb, do you suggest choosing trousers that fit better in the seat (where the rise is a too big) or fit better in terms of rise (where the seat might need to be let out)?
It really depends, but in general I would say better to let out the seat and leave the rise.
Do you take preorders on solid Classico suits?
Still undecided on the special fabrics whether we will do pre-orders... need to work out some legistics with the factory. But as for the solid basics we should be getting more in the next week or two. What size do you wear/need?

Thanks, Ben.

I would like a Dark Navy Classico in 43/44R. If we could arrange a "pre-order," that would be great.

Last couple questions (for now at least):
  • How much can a typical pair of Benjamin trousers be let out at the waist?
  • Who should I contact if I need to ask to swap out trousers of one size for another?

Hah, thanks. I'm an even lankier 5'9.5" / 135lbs and was curious if a Short jacket would work better (probably not in my case.)

I'm sorry but I can't see the top button being off-center... can anyone else? I'm not even sure it's possible to tell at all?

No prob. Only thing is we only have the Granoro, which is pretty much the same as the Classico in a 43/44R. Main difference is that the trousers are just slightly fuller in the Classico. There is at least 1.5" to let out the waist of the trousers. Did you need to swap for size larger or smaller? Regardless you can email [email protected] and Mike or Colleen can assist you and confirm that we can or cannot do the swap.

No idea what you are referring to. Do you mean not aligned with the bottom? If so, I disagree- or at least it's not obvious as it's folded over beneath the other lapel.

I'm looking at the alignment between the center of the collar and the tie and the top button of the jacket. I tried on the same jacket and had the same issue where the jacket pulled to one side so that the button sat off-center.

I'll take another (better) picture tonight ( in 4 hours) with my arms and legs straight and perhaps then we should review?

Why bother? Aren't you able to tell by simply looking in the mirror? Just say NewShoes1 is right or NS1 has no clue what he's talking about. My intention was not to cause this diversion but, instead, to compliment the fit on the 38S as compared with the 38R.

I'll bother because if there is a fault with the product then I think eHaberdasher and everyone else will want to know. I can't identify the issue you are talking about so If I post additional pictures and no one else can see what you are referring to then perhaps it's just you. So, ignore the bad pictures (it's really much harder than some of the gents on here make it look) and ignore the pants from another suit.

You won't be restocking the Dark Navy Classico suits in size 43/44R in a week or two? I'm looking to add one to my wardrobe.

I'm not very good at eyeballing so I imported the photo into PS. I'm not sure if the grid will help or add any value, but just figured I'd put it out here.

@ Spandexter, what would be your input on how the jacket sits around your shirt collar? From my own experience, they felt like they sat a bit low, exposing more than 1/2" of shirt collar in the back.

That picture is wholly useless. I don't know what you are trying to show but the jacket has open quarters so the buttons are not supposed to line up.
