Ya, sorry about that. It came down to NYC and SF due to their high concentrations of members. SF tipped the scales for a few reasons, one of which is that our two head honchos live out West.
We do hope that the East Coasters and everyone else in between might still be able to to attend. Hopefully, by the 25th anniversary, teleportation will be an affordable reality.

Hi Al. It came down to NYC or SF, and SF in March is just a lot nicer and more predictable, weatherwise. That, and we have more boots on the ground there. Sorry East Coasters, but I really hope that some of you will come.
Re. the pop-up shop thing. That does appeal to me, though I have no idea how to organize one. I'll ask around after I get back from Pitti uomo, and if there is some good rental space somewhere and enough interest from vendors, we may do just that. However, it's going to be a party. The PARTY will be the focus. This is not going to be sartorial event of anything, though you guys are encouraged to wear clothes. Anyone deciding to do otherwise will be subject to a hotness test for entrance. Since I'm an ostentiably straight guy, you'll have to do pretty well in order to get in naked. But it will be a PARTY. Like a Bar Mitzvah, but with more awkwardness that will be mitigated with booze.
The Party will be in March, and it will be an evening thing. My thought was to book out a reasonable restaurant, and we'd have food, drinks, etc... If we have a booze sponsor, it will be open bar. Otherwise, beer and wine, and a cash bar. The exacct time depends on when my wife allows me to travel. Suggestions for venues/stores to participate, etc.. are now officially solicited. Of course, we will ultimately have to make a choice, and it will come down to personal judgement, costs, and availability. I'd like to book out Iammatt's apartment, but I've been told that the cost is "too high for you plebes."
Now, if someone will tell me where to get non-crappy food in the city center of Florence, I would be very appreciative. The deserts and espresso at Rivoire acquit themselves well, but I can't be sustained on torte del nonno alone, and it's been years since I've been here. Those times, I either ate what I was fed (sometimes pretty well), or whatever I could afford (not much, and not great, generally).
