I've had the same clothes for about 5 years..eek!

Hi Everyone! I'm very happy I found this forum and looking forward to learning from you all! First off, i'm such a noob when it comes to style that the noob "pinned" thread was too "style sophisticated" for me. I'm a 25 year old guy whose idea of fashon is a fitted t-shirt and nice pair of jeans lol. It's time for a change. I don't even know what style I like. My first question is if anyone knows a good website or blog that I can visit that has trendy photos of men's style. I want to have a game plan when I go shopping and try to replicate an outfit I find online. Also, does styleforum have a "Men's style 101" section explaining the basic style do's and dont's? I walk into stores and the mannequins always look so stylish! Unfortunately I can't ever duplicate their looks! Once I do some basic research on fashon and style I can better explain and join in on this website. Thanks guys!

read the stickys, you aren't suppose to make threads like this but this whole section is a good resource for you. However, you'll find your style only through obtaining knowledge about what's out there, and what you can see yourself in. Don't let yourself get trapped into a certain aesthetic because you think its the "correct" route to take, that's what I think is most important. start by looking at the WAYWT thread, and make sure you go back a few years of pictures because its more diverse. Read about different styles, and brands and see what you like. It will take time and lots of money

Building your wardrobe takes time, don't worry about buying a bunch of stuff now. To start, you could take a look at the affiliate threads/online shops.

Firstly, please do NOT blame yourself that you find mannequin in the store to be stylish. Even though they don't look to be so stylish to me anymore, it is completely normal that they want to pick the best clothes to put on the mannequin so they can attract customers.

Secondly, I was like you once. I was so under influenced that I need to find everything to wear to be fashionable. Well, I'm not like that no more. I just wear whatever that makes me feel good. It does not need to be sloppy because you can find something that make yourself look great without compromising on wearing comfortable clothes. It really takes time so please look around the forum and use the search function to find what it is that you need to know.

Buy clothes that fit you properly.
