I've been thinking about this. What could be the real life positive/negative repercussions of showing ones face?

Ah, well. Here's my attempt at stylish severity, in any case. Note, also, that it's still freezing cold in NYC, hence the camel's hair overcoat.

Nothing more than having to endure ridicule in the lunch room over taking selfies and posting them on the internet like a teenage girl....

Edit: but in reality, any one with even a tiny bit of Google-fu could figure out my identity, even without mug shorts.....

You should look into becoming a freaking fashion consultant for the rich young folks. They'll pay for it.

This.

But, I figured that it was hard to describe oneself as menefreghismo and then cover one's face. So anonymity be damned. I doubt any of my students or colleagues frequent these fora anyway, given their clothing choices, so it is unlikely I will be recognized.

You should smile more. No reason to smile? Well I know a certain vicuna-tie that would bring a smile to my face every day of the week.

lol! you mean the one i am wearing? wink.gif

its hard to get a good smile in a fit pic, a forced smile never looks right to me. what happened here was that a friend drove by my house as my wife was taking the pic, and he shouted out, "SEND ME A COPY!!" hence the impromptu and very natural grin.
