IMO, this is a wonderful example of sophisticated city casual. The slanted pockets and the ticket pocket add to the sleek, clean lines of the coat. The pattern on the coat, which can be seen when clicking the pic, is bold. However, the rich, solid sweater and crisp white shirt provide an anchor for the eye that keeps everything in balance. I would love to see the back side of the coat. Double vents and a clean fit, I assume.

The construction of the shoulders makes a power statement.

The cuffs on the are unique and interesting.

Crusty, I always like your looks but my point of contention is always the same - I don't like you in a full overcoat (admittedly I'm not fully keen on them normally). I might have missed it earlier in the season, but have you ever posted a full sartorial photo with a car coat? I think that I'd really prefer you in one.

Interesting perspective - as it is, I've only one shorter-than-full-length coat, a blue covert cloth coat from Tyrwhitt, which I will try to work into the mix, meteorology permitting (it's a topcoat, not a true overcoat - not a whole lot of insulating power). We'll see if that's more your speed, though in this matter, opinions vary - check the comments on my posting today.

another very nice fit... love the colors more than anything else though...

The shirt/tie/suit/square colours are very pleasing in the first photo which I reckon is probably the most colour-accurate. The tie is really great as an item in itself, too.

The jacket doesn't fit anywhere near as pleasingly, at least in the photo (the lapels are straining across the chest and the jacket fabric has to "kink" sharply in at the waist to allow the button to do up). The shoes are lovely; I wouldn't wear them with this look. The socks I'll shut up about b/c IRL nobody will really see them. :)
