One thing though: how can you go out dressed like that in 30+ Celsius and 100% humidity?   Been in Lagos and on Victoria Island and it was excruciating.

lots of cotton, linen, unlined and 1/4 lined jackets... in short lots of breathable clothing.. and wearing a hat (which I usually do) goes a long way. I was probably the only person in a suit not sweating... and it's because my fully lined super 130 wool suits stayed where they belonged... in New York. Nigerians will someday discover the joys of fabrics like linen and seersucker.

 

 

 

First day ever wearing a cap, actually. It's an unbranded Harris tweed, from a vintage/second hand store. I don't feel uncomfortable wearing it, so I hope I can keep my balding head warm from now on

wow. thanks guys. i had planned on wearing something completely different today. this fit was almost accidental. i should try that more often i guess. too much over-thinking, lol.

A pinstriped suit jacket as odd jacket is a recipe for failure. When paired with jeans this effect is only magnified, I'm afraid.

This would have been quite nice with the matching pants, but is full of fail with jeans. Keep structured-shoulder suit jackets with their pants.
