Wow, thank you. Much appreciated.

OK, this is why one should always click the "spoiler."

I saw only the chest shot. I like that. Lots of patterns but it works as the overcheck on the coat is subtle, the tie is sedate, the square doesn't match, I'd prefer a pale blue shirt but the white is not bad.

However, when I see the rest, I go

The coat fabric works as a (casual) suit but not as a jacket. It's too "suity" to be a jacket. That's a function of the color and the fineness of the pattern. I can't stand the slant pockts (natch). The way dark trousers are Nooooooo!!!!!!! Socks, oh god.

This board has passed me by. I feel 85 every time I look.

TB - gray flannels will significantly raise this fit. The khaki is struggling to keep up with the jacket.

You're right, of course, nii, but I can't always pair this jacket with gray flannels. :) A man's got to 'speriment.

Not fair. I already know his outfit. Unless he's fine with it.

Of course I'm fine with it, ace. I have nothing to lose except my sartorial ignorance. Enjoy the concert and post the pics.

I don't feel old, I just feel like a disproportionate percentage of posters in this thread might be color blind.

Well, at least you waited until I was home to burst the bubble.

But that jacket is a tweedy thick wool - how could that not work as a jacket?

end of a long ass day:

For some reason the buttons look too close together. The shoulders and chest fit quite excerrentry. And it's a good length on you. Not a fan of the color though, but then again, it's your jacket. I know patch pockets and DB are scoffed at by some, but I think it's good to have something like that in one's wardrobe.

I'm wearing custom made jeans and a shirt from trunkclub.com

thinking about getting a custom suit from knot standard if anyone has any tips on this site... they're an online tailor with a twist...want to know if it's worth saving the money by using them.

IST, this is a home-run look! (BTW, when are you going to follow Victor's lead and remove all the furniture from your flat so that it doesn't clash with your fit?) :D
