Actually other than the shirt everything is different
first picture you quoted is actually a tweed jacket
today's jacket is a silk/linen
and the chinos are actually different colors and cuts, both from land's end
but thanks for the douche remark
Just curious, was it the shoes that got me no love today? Was thisclose to going with choc suede monks.
Although the shoes are not to my taste (and perhaps out of context with the rest of the fit), the overall effect of the fit was a bit off. Perhaps it was the shade of the pants, or maybe it needed a tie with more texture.
FWIW, I tend to like your suit looks more than your SC looks. I think you look more natural on the city end of the spectrum.

from the pix it's hard to tell... I know the SC is "different", and the chinos are "different" but similar enough to beg the question. I've said this before but when the thread becomes nothing but "SF approved" fits over and over it will then also become pointless... thus the comment.
likewise... at this point I still owe you one (at least).
Hair. I know. While it does need a trim, there were torrential rains in Dallas today, and with my hair being so fine that extra hold doesn't really hold to begin with, there was no styling that was going to hold up to today.
Not in love with the cloth, but this looks like it will fit beautifully, and I'm very jealous of the experience of working with Despos.
On a separate note, what's with the fly-front shirt?

The fit is looking good as expected. Tell Despos not to make the fit too perfect, leave some crinkles or it'll kill your sprezz .
Spoo, I actually like your fit, minus the square and shoes. The tie goes great with the jacket, and is a nice way to transition from the lower half. The blue of the PS is unlike the other blues and not complementary to the rest of the outfit. My eyes are drawn to it. It competes, rather than harmonizes, with the whole.
Shoes are another matter entirely. They are str8 pimp. I have no idea what to pair them with.

This I agree with. Im trying to increase suits and decrease SCs.

No thats OK - I just felt so classic SF iGent today, and was kind of crickets. Was wondering if I screwed something up, thats all.
The crocs stand no chance of leaving anyhow, LOL
See my Final note mentioned previously.

Thanks. The cloth is far from what I was originally thinking of, but it is really quite beautiful in person. Despos was the one who picked it based upon our conversation about what I wanted the suit to be in a very general sort of sense, and it's really grown on me. Plus, it's some of the last Carlo Barbera before they were sold to Kiton, and I will admit to liking it a certain amount just for that alone. The shirt has a hidden placket. I picked up immediately after college a few years ago. It's sort of like a peach and cream gingham with a blue check and a herringbone shadow pattern. I picked it because the weather was rather wet and rainy, and while it's a lovely shirt, it's one that I felt comfortable exposing to the elements.

Thanks. I don't think that would matter, as even though it is far beyond my personal expectations and standards, Chris keeps refining it ever so much to get everything right and up to his standards. The man is meticulous.

i know what you're trying to say.. but at the same time... what is YOUR point?
unless if you wear your clothes once and throw it out, you will end up wearing the same stuff or at least similar combinations
it just happened that i wore and posted a picture of similar combination within a short enough period for you to notice
(it probably stood out because of the pink/white shirt... had i changed the shirt, i'm sure it wouldn't have been as noticeable)
and i don't think you can get any farther on the spectrum from a tweed to a silk/linen jacket
...
but if that falls under posting the same fit over and over... ok
Thanks for comments on yesterday's suit. I've come to love my alterations lady - she does all the city police and state trooper uniforms - very precise. Helped me shorten most of my pants to minimal break and get jacket sleeve length right (I have long arms but a short torso). Business casual today - any critiques welcome
You're the anti-Manton- same build/fantastically low post count. Nice fit.
