I did but I wanted to create the most inflammatory misleading post possible. I had typed in "prison" but that would have been totally wrong.

Stupid decisions for $1000, Alex.

ATLANTA--Georgia State University has commissioned Collegiate Consulting to conduct a study regarding the feasibility of a move to the NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS).

Georgia State's football program began play in 2010 and currently competes in the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) at the NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) level.

"We are performing our due diligence to fully understand potential opportunities in the rapidly changing landscape of college athletics and particularly college football," said Georgia State Director of Athletics Cheryl L. Levick. "We will evaluate the information in the feasibility study to determine the best course of action for Georgia State.

"No decisions have been made, and Georgia State has not received an invitation from any conference," she added.

The feasibility study is on-going, and Georgia State officials are unable to comment further until it is complete.

Georgia State could join Georgia Tech and Georgia as FBS playing members by 2014-15.

Georgia State’s athletics department commissioned a report that explores the expenses and revenues from moving from the FCS, where Georgia State currently plays, to the FBS, which features bowls games and the BCS. The report concludes that “GSU is well-positioned to make a transition to FBS” and “that the Sun Belt would be the best fit.” A copy of a draft of the report, along with the contract between Georgia State and the authors, Atlanta-based Collegiate Consulting, was obtained by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution through the Freedom of Information Act. The report cost $20,000.

Ed, don't you think this deserves its own thread? We don't need fifty responses cluttering up this thread,
