Looks like you have to have signed up for Amazon's shoe newsletter. This coupon came out a few days back, and is account based. I couldnt get it to work then, so I signed up for the newsletter. And today, most of the shoe pages show the 30% off code for me, so I was able to get the park avenue for $230. :)

I have pair of calf Players that are creasing on the cap/wingtip also. Oddly, I am getting nice creasing on the vamp. I just figured the last wasn't made for my foot. I have had great success with just about every other last AE makes. Especially the 5.

Interesting. Part of me is glad I don't have creasing in the vamp and its nice and smooth but I'm still not crazy about having it on the tip either. I'm gonna stop by my local cobbler and see what he says. Since they're MTO I don't know if I have any options with AE.

Hello, has there been any information posted about Black Friday sales for AE or AE seconds? I know last year Black Friday saw clearance seconds at $99 and other great deals. I would love to pick up a pair of Dalton seconds if they will be on sale!

Im sure everyone is curious about this, I know I am... waiting to make any shoe purchases until then.

Do you or anyone know if the Black Friday sales are announced prior or do we need to check with the shoe banks on that day?

Looking hard at some chukkas for Christmas, and the Mojaves caught my eye. Anyone currently rocking a pair? How is the comfort and fit? This will be my first pair of high-end shoes, wanna get it right.

I posted something a few pages back. It was only around firsts at the retail store. I have no idea about seconds.

Any of you guys with cordovan strands notice the toe box is not as hard as the calf versions?

I don't have creasing in the toe, but it definitely feels more pliable than my calf shoes and my shell daltons. Does the independence lining have an effect on this?

Thank you for posting that but for me personally I'll pass on those models. Hopefully there will be others on sale too. Maybe someone can call the seconds store to find out?

Question for everyone:

Wore my Shell daltons today in our first snow fall of the year, which equates to about a half mile of walking in ankle/calf deep snow. When I got home, they looked pretty rough. Covered in spots, dirty, and not an ounce of shine. After would 10-15 minutes of brushing and buffing, they're back to looking great, and their shine might have actually improved since before I wore them in the snow.

My question is, will doing this 2-3 times a week (roughly the amount I plan on wearing them) be overly injurious to my boots? I don't want to baby them, but is what i'm doing too extreme? They have a topy applied, and I plan to always tree them, and let them rest at least one day between wears.

That's a good idea. Now, who should be the one to call them about this . . .
