100% cashmere. Made in Italy.

A month or so ago I picked up a few Riccardo Piacenza sweaters to sell, not knowing anything about the brand. Touching them, seeing first hand how nice they were, I thought I'd take a shot. It turns out that Piacenza is one of the world's oldest family owned companies, founded in 1733, 11th generation blah blah blah, read more here: http://www.piacenza1733.it/inglese/default.html. Chris Depos (the tailor) has a line on his website saying "Truly the finest cashmere and camel hair you will ever find!" It is right up there with the best of the best. A few of you bought them and seem to be very happy with them so far. When I was in Rome, I saw them in some shop windows for a very high price and Yoox is selling their wool sweaters for around $250. The sweaters seem to run true to size. The EU 48 fit me well (I'm a standard 38) with enough looseness to be comfortable but not sloppy. Price includes shipping in the U.S. Add $10 per sweater to Canada. Check with me about overseas.

I have that one, buy it only if you can cope with being stopped in the street and asked where you got it from. My best purchase of the year so far [and there have been many!].

Do you have a sleeve length measurement for the 40/50s?

If you can get a full zip in brown in 50, I'll take it.

Do any of the full/partial zips or cardigans come in larger sizes - 56 or 58?

Yes, there was a beautiful blue half zip (darker than either listed, but not quite navy) in either 56 or 58. It had a slightly lighter blue inside the neck. I wasn't sure what demand would be at that size so I didn't get it. I think there was also a lavender full zip in 56. Maybe others. Let me know if you are interested.

The cardigan was only in size 52.

Thanks, I would be interested.

I don't know how reasonable this is, but is there any way to post measurements? I have abnormally long arms, so this is always a concern. Also, if you are able to post a picture of the blue half zip (which sounds great) I would appreciate it. Lavender would not be for me.
