My brothers and I have a few of these as well. However, ours weren't thrift store finds but gifts from the man himself to our late father.

I used to work with a card carrying member of the Italian communist party and that tie really drove her crazy....

I have scaled back my thrifting lately, but I did get another copy of "Official Preppy Handbook" for a friend and a copy of "Easyway to Stop Smoking" for my brother.

There was also a very preppy pair of pink cotton lightweight, NWT Polo trousers. They were 35Wx32L in case anyone wants me to proxy.

Here's my pickups for the day. I have a question on Armani since there are so many different lines and quality, etc. I picked up this Armani blazer for $2.50 today...can anybody give any detail about this line? Like where it compares to Armani Colezioni (sp)...Also, I think it's Size 40, can anyone confirm from the tag?

Picked up a Zegna Double Breasted Suit $3.99, Ralph Lauren Polo Blazer $1.99, 1991 Coach Briefcase $12.00. Pretty good for a Friday after work quick stop.

Anyway, my stepdad pulled out this 1970s Collezione SA (?) leather jacket today and asked me its worth. I know Collezione makes leathers for Armani now, but thats pretty much the extent of my knowledge in this field. The tag says made in Korea, which I know is a terrible sign, but its the most amazing leather I've ever felt. It has tons of interior and exterior pockets, including a giant snap pocket on the back...its definitely designed for duckhunting, but I don't really have much more insight. A few pics are attached. Let me know if you guys know anything else that may be relevant. Also, he said it retailed for $400, but that was 35 years ago...

Your jacket has only sentimental value. For the record, made in Korea merchandise is of much higher quality than made in China.

I took a break from thrifting as I was getting slightly burned out and was constantly coming home with NOTHING. Today was my first day back to the dark-side and it was relatively phenomenal for the 1 store, 15 minutes I spent.

First a very bad omen on Friday the 13th: WTF

But all was well with world, as this was right beneath it:

And then, probably one of the coolest finds I've had in a really long time. NWOT Recent Samuelsohn Peak Lapel SB Suit. 40R, SUPER 150's, Ticket Pocket, Dual Vents, Surgeons Cuffs. Did I mention NWOT? Looks completely unworn. Fits me like a glove, except the sleeves are 1" too short

This is Giorgio Armani Black Label - the highest form of GA at the time. This was their most expensive stuff. Tag dates to probably about 1996-2000 or so. They really dont go for much on eBay, so dont get all that excited, but surely more than $2.50

I left a pair of bespoke shoes whose photos are shown below. Can anyone ID these shoes? They can't be Lobb, right?

Those are Borgioli, and well worth picking up. They are kick ass. I have 2 pair and love them.
100% confirmed on both the hand writing in the sole and the nail patterns.

Oh ok, great...thank you for the info. One other thing then, where does MANI by Giorgi Armani rank as a brand? I'm assuming that's a lower level...

Had some moderate success today, in dribs and drabs. I picked up a Timberland overcoat. Nothing special, but it was starting to rain and the old guy at the op shop give me a 30% discount on it. It's pretty big for a size M, way too big for me, so I would be happy to swap if someone needs one.

Hilditch and Key shirt, size 15, navy graph check. Happy to swap if somebody has a nice size 16/34 business shirt. I also found a Liberty pocket square and a pair of Bally bluchers that I plan to polish up and leave at work for when I cycle in.

Finally, I found a really nice Zegna Su Misura black dinner jacket. Sans pants, so I went hunting and found a pair of formal pants in the jeans section. These look pretty close to my uneducated eye, but I can't be certain they are a match. Can anyone tell from the label if the pants are/are not Zegna?
